Our Code of Conduct

Updated as of August 26, 2024

This Code of Conduct applies to all event guests, volunteers, staff, partners, sponsors, and anyone else participating in or working with iMagi Nation Inc. We are committed to creating safe, positive, and uplifting experiences that honor creativity, community, and the wellbeing of all. In line with our values, we expect everyone involved to adhere to the following guidelines:

Respect and Kindness

  • Treat everyone with respect and kindness, regardless of background, beliefs, or identity. We celebrate diversity and welcome people of all cultures, races, religions, genders, and ages.

  • Maintain a positive attitude and approach all interactions with grace and understanding.

  • Respect personal boundaries—physical, emotional, and intellectual. Unwanted touching, verbal abuse, harassment, or discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated.

Responsibility and Accountability

  • Be mindful of your actions and how they affect others. Whether you're attending as a guest, volunteering, or representing iMagi Nation, your behavior reflects on the organization.

  • Own up to mistakes and work toward resolution in a mature and constructive manner. We believe in second chances but also have limits where safety and integrity are concerned.

Safety and Wellbeing

  • Prioritize the safety and wellbeing of yourself and others. No drugs, alcohol, or illegal substances are allowed at our events or in any iMagi Nation spaces. Any individual found under the influence may be asked to leave.

  • Children are a central part of our community, and all attendees are expected to act as role models. Conduct yourself as though young eyes are always watching, encouraging an environment of kindness, learning, and respect.

  • Physical or verbal violence will not be tolerated. Any threats, bullying, or harmful actions will result in immediate removal from the event or program.

No Nudity or Excessive PDA

  • Please dress appropriately for all iMagi Nation events and maintain a family-friendly environment. Excessive public displays of affection are discouraged as we focus on community engagement and creativity.

Creativity and Participation

  • We encourage full participation and creative expression, whether through arts, performance, or leadership roles. However, all creativity should align with iMagi Nation's values of inclusivity, respect, and inspiration for positive change.

  • Respect the work of others by seeking permission before using or modifying someone else's creations. If you are sharing or reposting content related to iMagi Nation, be sure to provide proper credit.

Inclusivity and Accessibility

  • Make an effort to include others, especially those who may be new to the community. Help create a welcoming environment where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued.

  • If you see someone struggling or in need, do your best to assist or alert staff so that we can ensure everyone's needs are met.

Volunteer, Sponsor, and Partnership Integrity

  • Volunteers and staff are expected to act as ambassadors of iMagi Nation, adhering to this code at all times. Violations may result in removal from their role, though we are committed to learning and growth whenever possible.

  • Sponsors and partners must uphold their agreements and maintain a standard of integrity that reflects iMagi Nation’s mission. Misrepresentation or actions that contradict our values will result in a reevaluation of the partnership, including potential termination.

Feedback and Resolution

  • We welcome feedback on how to improve our community and events. If you encounter issues, please speak up respectfully so that we can address them promptly.

  • Any conflicts or disputes should be brought to staff, and we will work towards peaceful and fair resolution through open communication or, if necessary, mediation.

By participating in iMagi Nation Inc. events or activities, you agree to abide by this Code of Conduct. We reserve the right to ask anyone who violates these guidelines to leave an event or program, with further consequences possible depending on the severity of the violation.

Together, let's create a nurturing, creative, and joyful community that uplifts us all!
